I left my family, and the folks at home,
I took the wrong road, I wound up alone,
I got in too deep, stuck in the mud,
then I went under, under the blood
Under the blood that washes white as snow,
that crimson river where sweet mercy flows,
my sins are washed away in that life changing flood,
I’m glad that I went under the blood!
Now when I stumble and when I fall,
when I’m weary too weak to crawl,
I pray to Jesus, he picks me up,
and I find forgiveness under the blood!
So if your shame is too hard to bear,
and if you’r thinking nobody cares,
you can be free, just trust his love,
your guilt is over under the blood!
